Data Entry Questions

  1. How do you begin the next Registration or Contact?
  2. Is there a quicker way to enter batch entry contacts?
  3. Does the cancel button on the ticklers cancel the tickler or to cancel the current operation you are working on?
  4. Can we enter longer notes to the subjective questions asked during a contact? If not, how can we handle longer notes?

Data Entry Answers

  1. To begin another activity for another person, you must bring up the Search Screen to locate the person you need to work with. You can bring up the search screen by clicking on the magnifying glass icon in the upper left corner, or by clicking on the Finish button in the lower right corner.  In the lower left corner of the search screen, select options as needed.

  3. The contact Quick Entry screen enables you to enter the basic contact information.

  5. The cancel button changes the status of the tickler to cancelled, meaning that the tickler is cancelled. To delete a tickler, highlight the tickler and click on the delete button.

  7. Each Subjective and Objective question note allows you to enter 254 characters. If you require more space, you can add additional notes in the Progress notes tab. This tab allows you to enter unlimited amount of notes.

  9. This is because you have the Soundex check box checked. If the Soundex box is checked, Clinical Fusion will find any name that sounds like what you have queried on the last name field.

  11. The Status field enables the clinic staff to communicate the status of an existing contact. For instance, a nurse may screen the patient for vital signs and measurements, then give a status of "Person Screened" to let the doctor know that the screening is complete. The doctor can then conduct the patient visit and enter the remaining information. If there are any lab tests or immunizations to be completed, the doctor can change the status to "Orders" to let the nurse know that there are orders to be done. Once a contact is signed and completed, the status can be changed to complete.

  15. In order to delete a contact you must have administrator rights to Clinical Fusion. Once you log on as administrator, you can search for the person’s history whose contact needs to be deleted. Click on the Contact tab in the History activity, highlight the contact to be deleted and click on the Delete button.
